Has the Thorn Alpha 2 or Alpha 6 ever been used in the UK? Is there any still today in England? I was just wondering as people don't really photos of the Alpha 2 and 6

More now interested in Polish Street lighting, the country where I come from.

LED fixtures need to stop replacing fine-working streetlights. However, I except retrofits, only if it's done very well.

For today I live in England, so except me posting English fixtures as well.

Yes, they were used. I'm not AWARE of any survivors that aren't in collections. There is a streetlightonline survivors article about an Alpha 2, and another about a refuse centre (I believe) with an Alpha 6. I remember the A6’s being used on the M63 while going on a school trip in 1985 😎 Never seen a 2 in use though? 🤔
