@LightbulbManiac, I did a major project involving eleven two lamp F30T12 magnetic ballasted R.S fixtures in my living room... , but I will
say that my photo quality showing those fixtures, was not the best, and the comments to each photo was not very high either. This makes me wonder
if album placement may have something to do with it... either that, or photo quality. Even the videos I've posted about them, aren't the best. :wndr:
I'm in the process of working on a plan to fix that.
I agree that this website is on a declining phase, but I'm not sure if I agree regarding the severity level of this phase. I've seen a lot of new
members popping up from time to time over the years, and I've also seen former members make new accounts/return as well at times.
This is an epic niche to have, and this is an epic site. Hopefully the declining phase does not worsen as time goes on.
One thing I'm worried about the most though... is the A.I things, ruining things, and causing other things... resulting in things that weren't meant
to happen.

I think that dudam001 leaved after he being insulted by @LightBulbFun which said him to stop make comments like he did to me.

i'd hardly call what I said an insult, a bit firm perhaps sure, but not an insult. to call it an insult and provide no initial context is not something I appreciate, because people will read what you have said and very much get the wrong idea

I already had a couple people contact me asking what your comment was actually all about, (as I am not one to go around insulting people and I certainly dont intend to or ever plan to!)

Here's the thing, I never said that the fun stuff is gone, just reduced.
Your project, even though you claim it to not be the highest quality, still has a lot of value,
because it is a result of you getting creative and spending time on an idea, an interest.
From the moment you acknowledge that you haven't reached your peak uploading style,
you can always improve, till you reach that spot of passion and precision where you want to be.
Regarding the impact of AI, I am unsure of what you are referring to.
I haven't been online enough lately to spot any AI generated post here.
If you are referring to it's impact generally, I agree to a large degree.

@LightbulbManiac, I also highly agree with you that the fun stuff is reduced. LED tech, even with the switching of diodes
to change color, is very boring and basic to me, in comparison to pretty much all arc tubes. The excitement just isn't there with LED's,
in my opinion, regardless of how they're shown/what style they're in. The older lighting tech is so much more exciting, and
so much more reliable, with proof. I see my flaws in my uploads, and I'm working on ways to get around each flaw so that I can
draw more attention to this epic idea... not many people can say that their apartment living room is lit with 100% T12 fluorescent!
It's really unfortunate though, seeing members who would have liked my idea, just disappear into thin air like this. Especially members whom
I remember over the many years. I don't like mentioning members who have left the forum, but RyanF40T12 was a member whom I have seen in the
comments on numerous occasions over the many years I've been on this forum.
I suppose everyone is different... I don't ever see myself leaving this forum, at all, unless all the members here turn into A.I bots.
... haha... I don't care what my signature says, I'll NEVER... be a friend to an A.I bot.

Both decent members who commented on stuff I posted. However I’m not surprised. The quality of posts and comments on posts and most pictures that get uploaded here has considerably dropped to rubbish lately which is why I rarely post photos currently. But I will add that it’s not just this site. It’s all of them.

I agree with the photo quality . I've seen several photos lately which are complete trash : Photos of fixtures covered by trees, shrubs , vines , (you gotta zoom the photo and look closely for the fixture).  Night photos where all you see is a white spot on a black background . Blurry photos with the poster asking "Who makes this ?"

As for comments , I've seen my share of borderline useless comments : Photo description : "produces more lumens than a 400w MH" Comment :  Is it bright ?"  REALLY ???  Comment : "This fixture weighs 75 lbs."  Comment : "I'd bet it's heavy" SERIOUSLY???

Don't get me wrong , I'm not expecting Ultra-high photo quality or PHD quality comments but c'mon put a little bit of effot into it . You don't need a $1000 camera oe a college degree to create decent quality  (I paid $50 for my camera)

I've been on this site for 8 years and I've seen people come and go . I've seen this entire site ebb and flow,  Honestly , in my opinion , I think the Zenith of lighting has came and went . With the down slide of HID , I don't see much if anything which can restore it .
