Sound crazy, but it's working to me, at least these moments. What happen if I run a 26w biax PL in a 40w fluorescent ballast? The lamp life will be more short? The ballast life will be more short? The PLs will pop at few hours of working?

The lamp will overheat, so beside the short lefe, its color will be off (green tint) and efficacy low, both because of too high mercury pressure in the discharge.

The lamp specs are approx 95V 320mA. Is 25W T12 close in spec ?
