When US members travel to Europe, do they ignore the street lights? « on: November 25, 2020, 02:01:27 PM » Author: WorldwideHIDCollectorUSA
I am wondering if any US lighting gallery members who travel to Europe ignore the street lights over there.

Seems to me that if an American was lucky enough to travel to Europe there would be a lot more to notice and streetlights wouldn't be one of them. I love lighting but I'm also waiting for my first chance to explore Europe as there is a lot more interesting things to see and experience. But hey it's just an opinion.

Here is the only reason that I'd travel to Europe for lighting, for these beauties in this picture. What I'd give to bring them home with me. These lights are keeping my interest in lighting alive and well!
But that's the ONLY reason that I'd go to Europe for lighting. Because I'd rather be enjoying the German countryside and the FOOD!

My mom was born in Ireland so in 2014 I went with her to visit. As the plane came down I couldn’t believe my eyes SOX SOX and more SOX. There were Sox lamps in trees on buildings lighting the sidewalks. Now mind you I wanted a sox lamp since I was a child and saw them in the Lincoln tunnel in New Jersey but couldn’t afford one. I took night walks especially to take it in. I believe they’ve moved to LED now so I was lucky to catch that.

I got to go to France last year and got a few photos of some streetlights (plus other lights), but I never got around to posting them and now I would feel odd about posting them.

I don't see why you would feel odd about it, I posted this picture that I took about thirty years ago.  8)
