I'd guess the pole will rotate so the fixture can be serviced from the roof ?

Continuing from my comment regarding LPS being used in Los Angeles, I found a holdout of abandoned (HALS, PL&S, or Spaulding) FCO fixtures next to LAX visible from Pershing Dr.

Speaking of LPS, I can remember when I was little, LPS was all over San Jose! I may be confusing LPS for SOX. I do know there were LOTS of SOX in San Jose in around 2011-2014, but recently I found a LPS fixture in a parking lot.

I also found some childhood streetlights on GMaps, I haven't been able to get the best of photos in real life.

I think I spy a clamshell, and a Westinghouse Metal Halide!

That one lantern with a shield reminds me of when I was somewhere in Walnut Creek at night, and there were plenty of those then. I do know that the poles were oddly shaped.

Found this pretty interesting, a pile of misc lighting glassware in front of a lighting supplier labelled free stuff. I see what looks like a M-400 glass and a Holophane wallpack glass.

LED street lights are bad. Some look good though. HID is better.
Please, watch out for the future. It's not looking good. Loves instruction manuals of any kind!

The OV-50 on the right I believe is my particular fixture and the one with the glare shield belongs to Wide-lite 1000.

Some ultra-rare Westinghouse OV-14s in Mississippi. There is only one complete fixture.

Here are some old LPS fixtures in England Airpark near Alexandria, Louisiana.  They do not light up at night.

Here is a top mount NEMA in Bastrop, Louisiana.  Unfortunately the weird double images are the best angles I could find on them.
