Quality of Venture Lighting products « on: August 05, 2009, 09:12:39 PM » Author: lightman64
Are Venture Metal Halide lamps good or not? I have heard mixed reviews about them and I was wondering if someone could help me out.

They have a nice catalog though.... - http://www.venturelighting.com/On-LineCatalog/VentureLightingSummer08.pdf

The future of street lighting is Induction, not nasty HPS lights or cr@ppy LED lights!
Preheat CFL's should make a comeback!

I have seen some GE and (new) Westinghouse mogul base metal halide lamps that were actually made by Venture in India.  They actually seem to be decently built lamps.  The arc tubes are supported by support straps attached to an insulated support bar running from the stem to the dimple.  Far better than Philips which uses an unsupported arc tube.
