That wouldn’t be so hot, as you would now be consigned to the scrap heap!
Oddly enough though I thought about this while on the way to work this morning, as I was passing our original GEC linear SLI/H columns that have been, (and still doing their service today), there since the early 60s, it gave me a funny feeling inside.
I’m 49 now and I drove past these columns thinking, “you guys have stood here for my entire lifetime and another 10 years on top of that”!
“You carried the linear sodium lanterns and lamps that I was so fond of as a kid, and now have happy memories of today……, and your still here lighting our town”

For a moment I thought of them as sentient beings, and was happy their all still there!, of course now sadly without their linears
