But I've read somewhere that the white box having the worse build quality and shorter lamp life. Which is sad, but I do have a few with brown color box but the top section (u-bent) doesn't have metal, which looks even cheaper than this one.

I'd recommend posting pictures in the gallery rather than the forum, they'll probably get more comments there. Only one or two of each lamp, though.

Again, nice score on the GE, Philips SOX are still quite plentiful, but GEs Leicester made lamps are getting very rare now!
