Ceiling fans with preheat linear fluorescent light kits? « on: November 28, 2021, 08:42:14 PM » Author: WorldwideHIDCollectorUSA
I wonder if there were ever any North American ceiling fans that used light kits that were designed for linear fluorescent tubes and used preheat ballasts. If any existed, I would certainly love to have a ceiling fan with a preheat linear fluorescent light kit.

Don't some ceiling fans use a 4" globe fitter, you can fit one of those fluorescent adapters to it. That would probably be the closest thing unless you feel like doing some custom metal work I suppose.

Maybe a circline fan?
That does exist atleast with T5 circline...remember seeing one at a store a few years ago.

This Robbins & Myers fan from 1945 has a preheat circline light kit. Another fan with a preheat circline light kit is the TAT Mistralaire from the late 1970's to early 1980's.

I am actually wondering about whether there have been some North American ceiling fans that actually used light kits that used multiple straight tubes rather than circline lamps such as multiple straight T5 tubes or straight T12 tubes.
