When I was considering obtaining some European T8 to T5 adapters to try in some North American preheaters, I asked the seller whether the 2 foot T8 to T5 adapters will work in series off a European 4 foot 36w T8 choke and this is what they said:
"Hi
No these will only convert from a T8 or T12 to a T5"
What do you think of the seller's response?
Note that the seller is actually based in the UK where 2 18w T8 tubes are commonly operated in series off a 36w T8 choke. Has anybody had experiences with running a pair of these 2 foot T8 to T5 adapters with 14w T5 tubes running in series off a 4 foot 36w T8 choke?
