I believe they do, I remember reading about it years ago, but don't know how they work. I want to say it' a lead/lag type but I'm not sure.

Nothing like the beautiful cool white light of a coated Mercury Vapor lamp and the soothing hum of it's magnetic ballast.

I think it would be nothing more then two ballasts in one box.
Exception might be ballast designed for 480V, where one reactor serve two lamps in series.

Yes, they do exist. Here is one example , although no information is given how it works and I think the pic might be wrong, as this site seems to use the same pic for all of the ballasts.

They (Advance Ballast) have one for MH. Tulamp MH in a PDF file. That one is HEAVY! almost 60 pounds. They make them for either 120v or 277v. A 480v tulamp ballast do exist if desired.

Why I like LEDs on top of other lighting tech?
LEDs = Upgrade 95% of the applications. (That is if you avoid eBay's LEDs).

LED brainwash? No, people uses them cuz they work well for them.

Yes, they are basically one ballast with about 480-500v output for two lamps in series for MV.
