I'm trying to find info about a style of light that I really like but can't find anything online. The lights are basically bollard style lights but with a vertical fluorescent tube inside a frosted white pipe that acts as the diffuser. The bottom of the diffuser is attached to a pole of the same diameter and has a standard PVC pipe cap covering the opening on the top of the diffuser.

What I'm trying to find is things like the proper term for lights of this style, pictures of the internals and weather the lights are proper fixtures or homemade fixtures. I really need to see what the inside of the white pipe may look like so I know how the tube is held in place. This is so I can make my own versions of these lights.

Try the term "illuminating column." I know of several manufacturers who make that style of luminaire.
