Everyone talks about the 80s… but I think that decade is overrated. What about the 50s, 60s, 70s? There’s James Brown, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, etc.

Yes, he is...he also sang for the band Ace, was a co-lead singer (sharing duties with Paul Young) with Mike & The Mechanics, and also had a solo career. He's the guy at the far right.

For those who want to knock on 80's music, I grew up then...I lived it. Nothing compares...and yes, I did listen to oldies back then too.

Pop & rock started to really slide into the ditch around 90/91, and has never really recovered...of course there's been a few exceptions.
