| I was on vacation in toronto this past week and noticed these strange fixtures while on the subway. Looks sorta like a unidoor mixed with a shoebox and I’ve never seen anything like it before

Yeah the AEL Luxmaster. Looks like this was shot at Warden station. Those are not the original luminaires in that parking lot too. The originals were 400w MV Powerlite B2215s as see here.There's some other interesting lighting around that station too. The lighting over the bus loop has a some Unistyle 400s (pic 2) and there are these neat looking MV post tops lighting the tracks (pic 4). Both look to be MV.

There's also a few in Toronto that are mounted more like shoeboxes. (Beecroft near Finch)  That entire area has a lot of drop lens shoeboxes too, mostly Powerlite and a few Coopers.
