After converting a Philips ConTempo floodlight from 250w MH to 35w SOX, I now want to convert one of my smaller 70w MH ConTempos to 18w SOX.
Currently looking for an 18w SOX lamp, ballast & ignitor as well as a pulse rated B22 lampholder. Would prefer a Philips lamp & gear so it matches my 35w floodlight.

Fluro starter pings combined with a 50hz ballast hum and blinking tubes is music to my ears.

And 50Hz...as far as I know, they have the same power system as the UK.

It's been a while since I tried it, but I ran a 18w SOX with a 240v 50hz fluorescent choke for 18/20w lamps with a S10 starter connected in parallel for ignition. Might try this again now that I have a 50hz inverter and something to actually measure lamp current.
