They really are. Top Gear did a video series a long time ago of a 1988 model, but it was the European version called the Hilux. They drove it into the ocean, wrecked it with a wrecking ball, drove it into a shed, dropped a trailer on it, set it on fire, and even dropped it from a 240 foot tall building. It still worked!! :poof: The series is called "Killing a Toyota."

Also kind of want a older Volvo RWD wagon, like the Volvo 240.
