How to re-cement a lamp base « on: July 26, 2022, 12:22:01 AM » Author: 108CAM
I have a 250w MV lamp with a loose base and I'd like to try and re-cement it to the glass envelope. I've used sticky tape on fluorescent tubes but I'm not sure if it's a good idea with the MV lamp because it runs hotter and I don't want the heat to end up melting the tape and causing a fire. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Fluro starter pings combined with a 50hz ballast hum and blinking tubes is music to my ears.

You could probably use rubber cement, preferably one that is stronger, and has a higher melt point.

HID Fixtures should stay HID, but I think LED is fine too.

We've had very good success with Gorilla Glue :wndr:
Don't use too much though as it expands a lot..!  :poof:
