It should not wire up any different than a  120 volt MV ballast  Unless it a choke style ballast

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

Hmmm...usually, a 240V MV ballast is just a reactor with one primary lead, and one secondary lead. The attached PDF shows a type of single voltage ballast. A picture would be best, that way we can see what you're working on and can go from there. One question: how many coils does the ballast have?
