So this is what happens when ballasts are removed for a LED conversion but then someone installs fluorescents back into the fixture, not knowing the ballast is no longer there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTleg8upX6k

I guess these are the tubes that are wired to the line on only one end. I have some that use both ends with shunted hot to one end and shunted neutral to the other end. Those might give rather interesting results if someone stuck a fluorescent in them. Especially on a 240v system and with a 2ft or shorter tube.
