1000bulbs.com warning « on: December 19, 2006, 05:50:35 PM » Author: J-Frog
If you are someone who orders lights from 1000bulbs, beware as they will tell you Philips but send you poor quality Chinese Eikos!

It's better to use Bulbs.com as they will sell you Philips and not Eiko!

That's a good warning, don't buy from them! I have had the same experience with 1000bulbs.com. They sent us Eiko and Plusrite junk even tho we asked for brand name items (Philips, Sylvania, etc). Please check out my "lights at work" album here and click on the last two pics.

I hope everyone reads this! It ultimately takes customer awareness to keep quality and honesty in line in the marketplace! :P

Are ballasts from them reliable?

Why I like LEDs on top of other lighting tech?
LEDs = Upgrade 95% of the applications. (That is if you avoid eBay's LEDs).

LED brainwash? No, people uses them cuz they work well for them.

We were sent some weird looking TCP ballasts by 1000bulbs.com for the T-8 fixtures. They are ultralight with bare aluminum casings yet have the same outer dimensions as the old T-12 ballasts rather than the slim design of today's T-8 ballasts. None have failed so far.

Only problem is Graniger seems more expensive than other shops...

For a 100w MH lamp for instance it's like $40 at Grainger when those lamps can be had for $20 elsewhere in some cases!
