| Oh wow that’s definitely dumb. I think I did see some people blowing vaping in some stores, but it’s been quite a while ago…

Over here vaping is banned in pretty much all the places where smoking would be banned. So pretty much all indoor public places where smoking is banned. @wide-lite 1000 - Let me guess, she made a big fuss about it when she got escorted out the store as well.

| If you think about it, vape = humidity. Humidity is one way of smells sticking around and adhering to surfaces. That's why rental cars smell so bad.

| Incorrect. Vapes use glycerin and/or propylene glycol. It is very much related to fog machine liquid as used in clubs. Humidity = water. If a person would exhale clouds of water vapor, it would mean their lungs would be instantly scalded by the literal boiling hot gas they are inhaling.
A highly significant difference is that the substances in vapes are water soluable. This means that you can just wash with water and the smells come out. This is opposed to the smelly substances in cigarette smoke, which are carried by creosote and other hydrocarbons. These are incredibly hard to wash away without using volatile petroleum-based solvents.

| Speaking of cigarettes indoors, i went to Publix tonight, and I saw a cigarette put out on the floor in one of the aisles 🙄. Definitely reminded me of this thread.
How it got there I have no idea.

| Oh yep, I remember when you went out to eat & places had smoking or non-smoking sections. And some stores allowed smoking inside.
These days when outside I'm more likely to smell pot-smoke than cigarette-smoke.

| The previous owner of my sportcar vaped. The car smells really good though and it makes me question whether it was because of the vaping...? I don't know, but regardless, it's still disgusting to me, personally. Not a fan of vapes, or smoking. I was 100% around during those days where they had the smoking/non smoking sections in bars and certain fast food restaurants. There are plenty of things that I miss during the good ol days, and that is definitely NOT one of them. lol

| I haven't got an issue with smoking, or weed for that matter. it's nice enough. Vaping tasted horrid, makes you look stupid, and still has nicotine 9/10 times. Smoking things is bad for your health, and everyone who does should know the problems and risks.

| Why do people vape anyway? The only thing it's got going for it is it's a bit less of a fire hazard than smoking.

| The smell of vape stuff doesn't linger. No ash tray needed. MUCH cheaper. Vapes can also be had completely odorless so you can use one on a toilet and no one will be any wiser, one minute after you took your hit. Finally, for a short while it looked like a less harmful alternative to smoking, which in theory it should be (after all it's literally just glycerine and propylene glycol that carry the nicotine) but in practice seems to still be very harmful.
I see an uptick in the amount of snuss used. More and more packets spit out on the ground and tins with names that appeal to teen boys (like Killa) haphazardly thrown on the street. But at least that only rots away the gums of the user, not harming people around it much.

Simple. Nicotine is addictive. My parents smoked. I hate this stuff since...

It is all rather miraculous physiologically. For 99% of users it is pretty harmless, even for a long tims, as it should be expected from absolutely biologically compatible propyleneglycol. But rarely it triggers a dreadful reaction, sometimes deadly, in some unlucky souls. May be of autoimmune origin as COVID complications teached us? Some also blame vitamin E antioxidant additives for this, but again it is a miracle why most of the users are absolutely OK?
