Rich, Coaster junkie!

Probably our biggest is Morrisons in our town, however they’re starting to get ridiculously expensive now, unfortunately our nearest ASDA, (Morrisons immediate competition), in in the next town, this particular ASDA store was once the mighty FINE FAIR back in the glorious 80s, lit with about 70 kWs of one thousand watt mercury lamps! 😎 We’re starting to use Home Bargains more now as they’re about £2 cheaper than Morrisons on virtually everything! We also have LIDL and TESCO in our town, with TESCOs being as equally expensive as Morrisons! 😵💫
If you can be bothered to drive 8 miles from our town to Crewe though, they have a place called The Food Warehouse!, this place is amazing!, we did our Christmas shop here and got a trolley full for about £214!, if you fill the same trolley and Morrisons, your looking at £350 and upwards! 😵💫

Mercury Rules

Here in Southeastern PA, we have a pretty decent variety of supermarket offerings. These aren't all in my town, but they're within a five mile radius from home. Nearest to me (in my town) are an Acme (which was formerly a SuperFresh) and a GIANT (which replaced a closed local IGA market. ) Current Offerings:Walmart Target GIANT Stop & Shop Acme (owned by Albertsons) Trader Joe's Wegmans (2 - one just opened on the site of a former farm about two miles down the road, while the other is in NJ but still close enough to be considered local) Whole Foods IGA Amazon Fresh (about three new locations opened recently, but last year all of their stores save for one, the original pilot, were abandoned in place, entirely finished, except for a sign above the door for at minimum a year until shopping centers and municipal governments sued them to open) Shoprite Weis Aldi Lidl BJ's Costco Sam's Club Former Offerings:Bottom Dollar Foods SuperFresh Many IGAs, particularly the one down the road

I found out that the Winn Dixie closer to me is going to convert to an Aldi eventually, my guess in the next 6-12 months.
The other two remaining Winn Dixie stores in my county are staying Winn Dixie permanently.
So I’ll have an Aldi closer to me, which could be convenient, but if I want to go to Winn Dixie, I’ll have to drive to the further ones.
I’m just glad Aldi isn’t going to convert all the ones here, because they’ve kind of gotten annoying about doing that. Lots of areas don’t have any left.

Few years ago, all of the Caltex servos (gas station for you Americans!) converted to Ampols. I have no idea why, but that's something interesting.
