Cooper/Streetworks has released a new post-top luminaire « on: May 09, 2025, 03:13:01 AM » Author: LightsoftheWest
Just a few days ago, Cooper Lighting released a new post-top model to their Streetworks brand lineup; it is called the AVN Avenaire. It is designed to emit zero uplight, hence the full-cutoff optics; there is not an option for non-cutoff lens panels. There are four different top designs: the Dome Top, the Pedestal Top, the Ornate Top, and the Classic Top. Each of these canopy designs is available with a round trim, a flare trim, or a band with optional badges. There are two choices of optics for the Avenaire, the standard discrete optics or the Wavestream optics. The Wavestream optics offer enhanced visual comfort and uniform distribution at the same time. It is available from 30W, 3,700 lumens all the way up to 170W, 18,000 lumens. Color temperatures range from 2,200K up to 5,000K.

Hopefully this has good build quality unlike another one of their fixtures.

I'm not a fan of these style lights, still, it is cool to see Cooper making new stuff.

Yeah, these are ugly as sin, IMO. Let's hope they aren't made from paper-thin aluminum like their later HID lights...

There's a new development being built around here that's using these. They don't look half-bad, actually, and aren't too glary to look at night either.

That's exciting! I'll change my opinion, I actually quite like the look of them, I used the configurator tool (rather annoying to use) and made something that I think it cool. I just wish that it could have a translucent diffuser around the arms, but that would defeat the zero upright concept.
