Got several cases of new 250w /DX BT Lifeguards. Trade for Clear Lamps? « on: July 22, 2025, 10:39:34 PM » Author: ElectroLite
Probably a longshot, but I'm looking for a bunch of clear 250w Mercury lamps. I have plenty of 175w and 400w clear lamps, but I only have like 5 clear 250w lamps. I also have more fixtures in 250w than any other wattage, so I'd like to fill that gap in my collection.

If anyone has an abundance of these lamps or are wanting to downsize, please get in touch! I have several cases of new 250w DX BT Lifeguard lamps I would gladly trade case-for-case for clear lamps. I don't particularly care about the manufacturer or if they are BT or ED shaped, I would just like that they are made in the USA.

Thank you!

That's going to be a tough one...H37 clear lamps are becoming hard to find from any manufacturer, even generics from China.
Good luck with your quest.

I will be getting 13 clear mercury vapor lamps from Japan in a few weeks unless they cancel the order. 7 of them are National while 6 of them are likely Toshiba. These lamps are longer than a typical ed28 or bt28 lamp. I would be willing to trade some for bt37 400w /DX mv lamps if you have any.

Another thing that I have recently discovered is that South Korea seems to apparently have an abundance of clear mercury vapor lamps including 250W versions. I am happy to assist with getting them imported to Canada as they are so plentiful in that country and should have the same electrical characteristics as our 250W H37 mercury vapor lamps.

Another option that I am also considering is that I could import a case for myself and a case for you and would it be fine if I can exchange one of those lamp cases in exchange for 250W H37 mercury vapor lifeguards in /DX form?

@WorldwideHIDCollectorUSA How would I go about importing a few of clear 400W lamps from them?

I plan to use Korean proxy websites such as DeliveringKorea or KFriday. I will keep you all updated once I do decide to purchase mercury vapor lamps from South Korea.
