In my area, I’m seeing some American Electric Autobahn ATB2 and ATB0 street lights from 2021 that are turning purple. I thought this only affected the 2017-2019 units but nope, I guess the 2021 and 2020 models too. Some are still the 4000K, some are starting to go purple, and others are completely purple with complete phosphor delamination. My city changed to LED back in 2021 for all street lights and they used the AutoBahn street lights. In fact, there’s a purple 2021 ATB0 right by our house currently.

I first started seeing them turn purple in late 2024. Although outside of my area there’s still plenty of HPS but the other city there was HPS with this random purple 2020 Autobahn ATB2, tho the majority were HPS in that other area and the other LED replacements for the HPS (also Autobahn) didn’t seem to be going purple over there. In a subdivision I saw the 2019 post top LED AEL lights go purple for almost all, so the post tops are also affected by this issue.

I’ve also heard of Evolves and Leoteks going purple but I’ve never seen a purple Leotek and on vacation a couple years ago I saw one evolve purple by the hotel we stayed at. The rest of the evolves were not purple at all.
