SRP for life.

Three days ago, Cooper Lighting has decided to discontinue the entire Verdeon series. This is quite sad, as it was one of their better LED luminaires. I also find it strange because it was always a good seller and because the VERD-S had only been out for three years. Link to the discontinuation notice

| It was probably a good seller because it was one of the cheaper LED streetlights. I'm glad they discontinued this because it is the worst glare bomb of a LED streetlight I have every seen. Not to mention the lack of heat sinking for the led's, although that probably isn't a problem so long as the Led's don't get so hot they overheat.

| Too bad the Verdeon has been discontinued. They weren't good sellers over here that I've seen, lol. They are good lights, though, so I'll miss them when they (eventually) disappear.
Hope the Archeon Contemporary will be a good successor to them.

Still seeing blue AEL Autobahns in 2025...

| This is Signify's doing. Had the brand still been owned by Eaton, I doubt this would've happened.

| I didn't even know Eaton no longer owns Cooper lighting ?
If it's anything to judge by, i am familiar with Eaton through their acquired F&G and Moeller product ranges, and can confirm that at least there, they dont randomly drop good products - Unlike some other manufacturers. (Also, F&G/Moeller make some of the best in class low voltage switchgear, and usually my goto choice)

| Signify being Signify. I’ve started to see these (2016 or newer units) fail increasingly where the optics “burn” or turned a dim orange along with driver failures. Up until a couple years ago these were pretty reliable, especially compared to the Navions. Haven’t been impressed with the Archeons.

| Navions are pretty horrid, at least around here. Archeons are okay, and they've certainly grown on me in the last couple of years. Verdeon was a nice middle ground. Looked like a spatula but had decent reliability.

| My city used these for their LED conversion back around 2017/2018. Never liked the look of them.

@Maxim - WSDOT has been big on the Navion for the past eight years or so. Haven't seen that many fail, but I have seen them shift color.
