You seem pretty average in terms of sociability. Not as super outgoing as some people here are, but not as super quiet as some others. Middle of the road in a neutral way, I think.

I think there is to some extent a (mostly false) belief that long-time collectors like you just don't have time to answer questions or don't want to put their effort into someone lower down in the lighting totem pole. Of course for some users this is true (they have busy lives), but I try to always say what is on my mind and I think others should do the same.

I also think that for users like you that consistently put out high quality content, there isn't any surprise when you make another excellent post with something cool. But for someone just starting out, if they make a post with similar content they might get more comments because that kind of content is unexpected from them and just draws more attention. It gives other new collectors hope that they can one day be as good as the best contributors here.

I don't really see you as a quiet person here.  When you find other members' light bulb that piqued your interest, you tend to add more information to that

Dave, you're fine...just be yourself. As to commenting, I'll comment on pics that interest me...mainly vintage HID lamps and luminaires. Other things, not so much...nothing personal.

I don’t comment often as I’m not big in knowledge on technical stuff. Others have more or less time to spend on the site, so it varies. I don’t think anyone is thinking much of it, just comment as much or often as you feel.

I'm fine thanks for the comments. I uploaded plenty of pics lately and they're commented fine in my book.
