Mostly wanting to try and get one of those Sylvania Suburban street light fixtures. I find them rather unique.

Ebay is the best way, also contacting collectors, who'd post one.

I can't see any on ebay at the moment, but they pop up semi frequently.

In my experience, when importing lighting from other countries, I have found that Japan can be a very easy country to import lighting from due to the access to proxy shopping websites often used by overseas buyers who enjoy importing other Japan exclusive collectibles from Japan such as anime, retro video games, and plushies that are largely exclusive to Japan. The proxy shopping services I have used for importing Japanese lamps, ballasts, and fixtures include Buyee, FromJapan, Jauce, and JapanRabbit. I have helped a collector with importing a Japanese HID floodlight fixture via Neokyo, but have not used that proxy shopping service myself for any Japanese lighting imports. When shopping for lighting in Japan, you can use Yahoo Japan Auction and Mercari Japan and use the proxy shopping service to do the importing for you.

When importing from countries other than Japan, you might need help from collectors who live in the country you want to import from as there does not seem to be much in the way of proxy shopping services that serve countries outside Japan. This is something to do if overseas eBay sellers refuse to ship internationally.
