Would it be possible to make a F40T10 using a xenon fill for preheat/rapidstart? « on: May 13, 2026, 10:42:55 PM » Author: F40
I imagine if I owned a lamp business I would offer the COLOBRITE line of tubes using a xenon fill gas being 40 watts for American preheat and rapid start ballasts using regular old F40 electrodes but they use a xenon fill to increase brightness and combined with the special phosphor for an output of 3900 lumens and a CRI of 88. Is this physically possible? If so what would they look like when they start up, also what would they be like in the cold and how long would they last and what would failure/mercury starvation look like? I also thought of offering a 20 watt size in T10.
