| I've noticed that compact MH lamps in daylight 5000-5500K color, rarely using Dy-Tl-Cs, compared to their 250-400W counterpart.
My Osram HQI-TS 70W/D Excellence, have Dy-In-Tl-Na. BLV have Dy-Tl-Na-Sc, and so my Aliexpress 70W R7s 5000K MH lamps.
Why is this?

| Because Dy-Tl in fact ends up at slightly higher color temperature than 5000K and with this hard to get rid of ugly greenish tint and metamerism. Adding a bit of sodium seems to solve both of the problems. NaSc fill is likely practiced because of the costs reason.

| Well, you asked for 5000-5500K lamp, this one is 5600. As what I said, you end up with color temperature somewhat higher than required. And many times that green tint.

@RRK: My former Sylvania HSI-TD 70W/D, didn't had any green tint. See here . It had a clean daylight color. Is this because I was operated it on an electronic ballast?

| It is down to a personal perception. My spectrometer, though, can plot measured color coordinates on XY plane and it is possible to see where they are on a blackbody locus, below or above. So far, most of my Dy-Tl lamps (new/NOS ones) are both greenish to my eyes and have been measured to have a color point above blackbody locus, meaning it is *really* shifted green. Just a couple of exceptions. I suspect that most Dy-Tl lamps are in fact overdosed with Tl to stay neutral white in the middle of the life.

@RRK: All of the HQI-BT 400W/D knockoffs at Peamit Store, have a clean daylight color. I don't know if they are operating on HPS or MV ballasts.
