| If anyone is curious about the cross compatibility of fluorescent starters around the world based on lamp arc voltage drop, here is what I have gathered based on my research:
North American FS5 = European 4-22W = Japanese FG-7E/FG-7P
North American FS2/FS22/FS25 = European 4-22W = Japanese FG-1E/FG-1P
North American FS12 = European 4-65W = Japanese FG-5P (European 4-65W starters seem to have higher OCV requirements than North American FS12 and Japanese FG-5P starters)
North American FS4 = European 4-65W = Japanese FG-4P
British 70-125W = Japanese FG-52P
North American FS85/FS6 (no known equivalent)
