If you could bring back one lamp into production, what would you choose?

For me, I would choose the 1981/82 Octron FO32s with black caps since I've always loved black-capped T-8s.

Any linear neon lamp really, they are pretty impractical when LEDs exist but they are super super cool. My favorite is Marcel1968's 80W Philips Bakenlamp. I have heard that 160W Thorn lamps may still be made but I have yet to see evidence of that. One could be made fairly easily with proper fluorescent lampmaking equipment, and I'd love to do that myself some day but it's probably never gonna happen.

Second choice would be NA-9s, they would also be very cool to see. Those would be significantly harder to make, but not impossible. If it had to be fluorescent then I would say the 40W 60" T17 (electrical drop-in for F40T12 I believe) or maybe the 48" T17 powergroove.

Absolutely LPSV. The last factory was closed around November 2019 in Hamilton, Scotland.

Not as old as clear HPMV but still, rather tragic they had to go after the Philips Signify takeover.

For me, it’s a tie between a 60W soft white incandescent or the GE F40RES or F40SP41.
