Electrician with a heart like a raccoon

T12 U-bend Blackender « on: September 14, 2026, 11:42:46 PM » Author: BuzzyBallast
I'm currently looking for Westinghouse T12 U-bend blackenders regardless of the color temperature. Right now I consider this my Holy Grail of lighting.

That one going to be a needle in hay sack

I remember them in my first grade class had 2x2 troffers in classroom.  There jantior that replaced both westy black ender ubend.  I went to trash can grabbed best one and put it in my cubby hole towards end of school.  But no my teacher grabbed it threw it back in trash can  by lunch time teacher empty the trash and there were gone.  I was so mad at teacher that I would not do my class work or home work for couple of weeks.  Well it took me 35 years to find another pair.

@funkybulb:Man that's quite a story talk about ruining a kid's whole day that's terrible.
Amazing how after all those years later you managed to snag another pair, congratulations on that.
But at 48 I don't think I have enough time to wait 35 years  :lol:
Though I pretty much assume these days it's going to be impossible but I thought I'd put the word out anyway.

I didn't even know the U-bent had blackenders at one point.

The closest thing I could find on eBay are a pair of Westinghouse 40w U bents, but with silver endcaps.
