| I've been wondering about this for a long time. How many DOT divisions in each US state used to have LPS roadway luminaires on major arterial roads/freeways? This doesn't include underpasses. The only two I can think of were CalTrans and TXDOT.

| You know that's a terrific question I wish I had a better answer but here in Florida it definitely wasn't FDOT.
They have been strictly HPS since the early 80s when they phased out MV.

| WSDOT didn't either. They've also had HPS since the early '80s and kept installing it until 2016, excluding new construction installations and pilot projects.

| MassDOT did install SRPs along the Mike Pike but those are long gone.

| Very rare on MTO highways, I think only a handful of LPS luminaires were installed. Metro Toronto however liked LPS, all the Metro owned expressways were LPS from the late 70s to the 90s.
MTQ in Quebec had quite a bit more of LPS, even using the European style suspended catenary lighting on one highway.

| Oh yeah, a bunch of NYC bridges and some freeways, which were DOT mantained had SRPs from the 80s to the 2000s.

Forgot about NYSDOT. I did hear that the RFK Bridge did indeed have SRPs. Didn't know about MassDOT, though. I did a little bit more digging, and it turns out that IDOT used to have a bunch on the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) in Chicago way back in the early '70s. | If I recall LPS was used in Long Beach at the start of the 90s though I don't know if they were CalTrans installations but I remember them from a broucher from Philips around 1992.

| I remember hearing about that as well. The Long Beach SRPs were put up by the city in the late '70s. They can even be seen in the movie 'Cobra' with Sylvester Stallone.
As far as I know, the CalTrans ones only existed within Districts 8 and 11.
