Lamp aging and design changes « on: May 05, 2011, 04:33:54 PM » Author: Powell
At the radio station we still have 2 fixtures with a total of 6 F96T12 ACE [GE]  CW lamps. They put some brown on the ends and a faint band around an inch out from the end. These lamps were a case so it is taking awhile to go through them.  Now I am seeing "newer" GE and ACE lamps aging with a distinct band about 2 inches out. I even saw a Sylvania doing this at a friends Farm Supply store. I had not seen the Sylvania 96 inch instant start lamps do this.
