Recently, I have seen numerous new installation of Thorn Alpha 2000 (Carat) in Haifa, that replaces the old Koffers (150) and Stradasoles (400 and 530, not K or G), which were once the most popular lantern in Haifa.
It seems that every new installation of streetlighting in Haifa is of Thorn Alpha 2000.
At this rate of its installation, the Alpha 2000, will become the next most popular lantern in Haifa, as it did in Tiberias.
I don't know how Haifa municipality, orders this lantern, because as far I know, Thorn don't manufactures this lantren anymore (It isn't appears in Thorn lighting online catalog).
Update: I found in Thorn lighting online catalog, a langern, similar to the Alpha 2000 (Carat), that called Riviera . I think that this is the lantern that are installed in Israel today, and looks in my pictures like an Alpha 2000 (Carat).

The Alpha 2000 is currently manufactured by Thorn Lighting (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. in China. This is where the ones here in Western Australia are coming from since it was discontinued in the U.K.

Currently, no more Thorn Alpha 2000, being installed here in Israel, as new installations are all LEDisease.
