is that a T5? these typically had vertical etches in the ol mazda days, even up to 1945 but still a great find!

I won't know until I get it what size lamp it is.

There are 2 more of these fixtures on eBay, but no Mazda bulbs...... ;D   but it looks like these are T8 lamps. I hope so for mine.

Bulb will not be used.....   :a_fluor:

Yep, I know exactly why you got it :)

That bulb is a side etcher , I`ve seen alot of brass capped mazda`s in the bedlamp fluorescents  but never one with a side etcher , Congratulations, Nice score !!!!

Nice find! Here's a catalog page showing some of those "Bomber" fixtures from the same company in use and if you follow the links, the full PDF catalogue. Also there's quite a lot of old fluorescent and lighting fixture catalogues on the Internet Archive site where the Bomber catalogue came from.

Well it is an 8 watt white.  Gentle end banding on one end, and some very light tan on one end. Very little use. Written on the the box was bad bulb. No, but both sockets are "bad".... the bulb barely makes good contact.  A design flaw is the opening is NOT large enough for the lamp and you have a little room to position the bulb out of the socket to the end of the fixture and there is BARELY enough clearance to get it out. I also had to use Deoxit on the switch.

Underline on the MA and a overline on the final A .   Getting ready to upload a close up now.
