http://www.sanluisobispo.com/2012/01/14/1907999/barracks-demolition-roberts-camp.htmlThey are scrapping out 658 of these buildings starting in the summer of 2012 and lasting for three years.
So they are still working on it.
They were built during WW2.
There has got to be a bunch of good 1940 fluorescent fixtures in there as the Army kept as much of that old equipment running as long as they could.
If someone is close by could scope it out as it is just going to be scrap steel anyway.

Some of the buildings have already been scrapped out for the steel, but others have not been.
So it would be hard to say what is left.
Even then, the scrapper may have a pile of fixtures they would sell by the pound.
It is just scrap steel to them.
In basic training during 1969 I was housed in these type of barracks and there were a bunch of double 40 watt open end reflector preheat type fixtures from the 1940s and 50s in each barracks.
I am sure any one that was in the military back in the 40s to 80s remember these.
http://www.nps.gov/goga/historyculture/world-war-ii-temporary-construction.htmMight get a good deal on some fixtures.
