Wow, I bet you're happy to get power back! My family lost power for three days during Sandy, but we have a small generator that is able to run our well pump and refrigerator. However, some friends nearby were out for two weeks, but they live on a side street while I live on a county road.
Modern society relies on electricity, and when it isn't there people go crazy. The whole gasoline shortage after Sandy was chaos!
