Is this the most off-topic use of a lamp? « on: July 24, 2015, 02:21:37 AM » Author: lights*plus
This antique Ebay Item made me laugh. Isn't this an iron with toggle to light the lamp & heat up the tin when needed? Wasn't the lamp, socket & wire more expensive to make than going out to buy an iron? WW-II iron shortage?

I had seen this item listed earlier this year, still listed, looked like the socket shell is soldered directly to the can, wouldn't be an pleasing task to remove the shell from the can ??? Shipping  for this light is 2 1/2 times more than the than the actual price of the item to ship to my area. :o
