Which Brand PHOTOCONTROL do you use? « on: August 08, 2015, 04:11:28 PM » Author: M250R201SA
Up until 2003, I was a Loyal Fisher Pierce.  I have 2 Fisher Pierce 7571-MCBE, One which has been in continuous use since April 1999, the other (pictured below is a spare).  When Fisher Pierce shifted their operations to Sun-Tech in Raynham, MA, I switched to Ripley, and DTL.  I have quite a collection of Photoelectric Controls, most of them Fisher Pierce.  I only have one Fisher Pierce from 2003, and it looks cheaply manufactured.  I favor Electro-Mechanical Photocontrols over these Electronic ones any day, hence why I buy NOS Fisher Pierce 6660 Controls from eBay.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Fisher-pierce-photo-electric-outdoor-lighting-controls-/252049280984?hash=item3aaf4ecfd8  A Good Deal for 5 6660-ESS Photocontrols.  I also have a 7671C-MCBD from 2002 that is still in use today.  Although the cover (which was black) is now dark gray from exposure to the elements.

I'm a fan of intermatic and area lighting research. I had an interesting intermatic that wasn't thermal or electrical. It had a magnetic relay instead of a thermal relay and an extra eesistor and cap in addition to the magnetic relay and photoresistor.

I, too, like Area Lighting Research from the 1990s.  I have a 2160 NPS, 2160 NP3 both from 1997, and I have a BF-120 from 1998, and a 2160 VP3 from 1998.  The only Intermatic I have is a LC4536C 120-277V (The 90s style with the blue band around it).

I have a 1997 DTL D120-1.5-1266, A 1988, 1989, and 1991 Fisher Pierce 6660-SSS, and 5 6662-ESS from 1985 All NOS.
Sunswitch - 1990, and 1992 6146-TDM and 1994 6146-MCE, the 1990 is heavily worn, but the 1992 is used, but excellent condition.  The 1994 is NOS never been used.

Among several others, I also have a 1996 LAMPAS 6120-TDM (Formerly a division of Precision Multiple Controls).  One of my rarer controls, as I have never really heard of LAMPAS, and when I do google them, not much comes up.

Has anybody else ever heard of LAMPAS?
