I was wondering if anyone has written poems about lighting. Here is a rather large one I just finished:
Listen my friends and you shall know,
The light source that gives off a moonlight glow.
That buzzes peacefully within the night,
They can be dim or very bright.
Created in the year nineteen O one,
They had to be tilted to start, probably great fun.
Shining like silver, but poisonous as a snake,
They had a pool of mercury, like a metallic lake.
Then in nineteen thirty six, a new victory came,
Mercury lamps were no longer the same.
They were made in high pressure form,
Which then later, became the norm.
These lamps were much more efficient,
Making these lamps the most sufficient.
Soon incandescent met it's doom,
Being replaced with mercury crescent moons.
But then sadly in 2008,
mercury vapor installations ceased at an alarming rate.
This is because the fixtures were banned, in thinking the newer was great.
Mercs were replaced with LED and HPS, what a terrible fate.
Anyone else have any?
