Glad to see they still make it! Thanks for that link. Do you know how much one would cost?

My favorite fixture (in my collectiom) is a 250 watt MH Hubbell Miniliter II. I really like the way it looks and packs a punch. I don't like the newer design, too bad they changed it- but I still have mine.

Nothing like the beautiful cool white light of a coated Mercury Vapor lamp and the soothing hum of it's magnetic ballast.

My favorite "Modern" Cobrahead is a tie between two GE FCO fixtures: The M250A pwrdoor (the boxy version of the early 80's, prior to the curved redesign that is currently avail) and the M250R2.  I like the FCO versions due to their neat reflector design.

My favourite is the same as in my avatar pic; the Sylvania "Roadster". Can take from 150-400W lamps, light and compact. Managed to grab 2 new ones in their carton still and one in excellent condition.

Speaking of fixtures in the carton, I remember in 1994, following a Mass Electric truck (Worcester, MA) onto the highway and a rectangular box rolls off the back of the truck and lands onto the side of the road. The truck keeps going and I swing around to see what it was. It was a new M250R2 100 watt HPS fixture with the plastic globe. It was a nice find :)

Hmm i thought i posted in here...

Mine would be M-400 r2.. probably. with Drop lens.

Looks great! I prefer 3rd generation though.

Design is great too. and the way the reflector is held in... much better than a single screw on the bottom. the refractors light distribution is good, (even for FCO)

M-400 r2 are much better than the cheapo M-400 r3 with poor design.
