Splicing for pulse rated lampholders « on: September 07, 2016, 04:56:05 PM » Author: sol
Would there be an issue to make inline splices with solder and heat shrink tubing to join two TGGT wires for a splice between the ignitor and the lamp holder of a PSMH ? The splice would be situated in ordinary threaded lamp tubing (or threaded nipples). Thanks.

The shrink tube ok for the temperature there ? And may need more than 1 layer for the voltage

The temperature would probably be fine, what I'm looking to do is a setup similar to this one only without the white round junction box under the lamp holder.

As far as layers go, it would probably be best to double or triple the heat shrink tube, maybe...

Cant you get a lamp holder that can be wired to (without the factory wires) ?

That would be ideal but unfortunately not very common. I'm not in a hurry so I'll keep looking.
