Hurricane Matthew is coming to Florida, better prepare!
Good thing we have a backup generator.
What do you think will happen?

If I were you, I would grab your cats, lights, a GPS, a cell phone and a lap top and get the heck out of there.  :P

We just have to make sure our house isn't destroyed.
Some people are going to public shelters because the hurricane will be too dangerous.
But I think we will be in a less affected area.
This is also partly the reason I don't have many new photos.

Famous last words...
I still think it would be a good idea to get as much as you can out of your house and elsewhere. Even though the chances aren't high you never know what will happen.

Now it's almost too late because we packed most of our things in the gasket boxes, and the road travel deadline is 5:00 PM.
Update: The rain is here, it went from a light drizzle to heavy rain in about .25 of a second.

Actually, it's predicted to hit at about midnight, likely none of us will be up then.
We just need the refrigerator to stay cool enough to survive the night, and allow us to plug in all of our extension cables.
The cell phone towers here seem to still work in power outages.

Update: the hurricane has passed, nothing more than some wind and light rain. No utilities went out, so I have to find a use for all of those extension cords.
Sun's out, time to take some lighting pictures! :)
