Products mentioning neon indicators « on: October 25, 2016, 01:49:10 PM » Author: Flurofan96
Hi all!

Recently I got myself a fan heater made by Beaumark and along with the stated features of the fan on the box, one feature states that it has a neon indicator.

Why some products state that they have neon indicators mentioning the technology name like as if the consumer were a lighting enthusiast?

I don't see often the same mention in products with LED indicator and why should the average consumer know that the indicator uses a neon lamp?

The mentioning of LED indicators here, is much more common than with neon indicators.

I see LED indicators mentioned by name all the time, way more often than just "light" or "indicator". But maybe its like that only in IT stuff, where most of the audience knows what light source is present anyway. Indeed i have not seen many mentions of Neon indicator
