What type is? Have white light!!! Is a mercury vapor or a metal halide?

Could be either one. When it lights, a longer arc inside would mean it is Mercury Vapor, shorter arc Metal Halide

The lantern looks very old, so it have a mercury lamp. I don't think this lantern have a room for an ignitor for a metal halide lamp.
Also, this lantern looks like AEG Ovale , which is a lantern for mercury lamps.
