I think the problem is does anyone of us know how to make one.

Also not sure if getting your app to apple/google store is free or is there some sort of fee.

I think the apps of websites like Youtube, Facebook, etc..., is to improve experience in that platforms on smartphones. For LG, this is completely unnecessary.

What you mean "improved experience" ? The experience in such websites is to go watch video, you can do that with a web browser

On related note, Dor you absolutely should have watched that movie i told you was on TV yesterday. (movie "Galis Connect"). That move seriously talked about "improved experience". Wait it might yet be broadcast again on one of the next holidays

An app really isn't necessary...

I can second that, when i lost access to my PC for a couple weeks, i still managed to stay active on the forums, the website seems optimized for mobile devices.

I generally don't mind the website, even on mobile. It works well and Patrick and other web admins keep it working smoothly.

One of you mentioned apps improve the functions? It isn't always the case. I find apps like youtube and facebook lack the freedom and even some setting options that you would find on the full website. It isn't an issue to people just wishing to casually watch a video or 2 or check their social media whilst sitting on the can. Personally to me Its just nicer to have a larger screen with everything displayed on a nice open screen with room. Mobile you tend to have to scroll just to see 2 things at once.

Why search for a complicated solution to a mostly inexistant problem ? The site works quite well in mobile devices, no fancy complications etc. It just works. An app would require more work from our volunteer admins, to bring exactly what to the user experience ?

I think there are some apps that let you "create" an app that acts as a dedicated web browser for a specific site. Maybe the members that are interested can look into that possibility and "build" their own.

It domt need another app

What LG needs is better orgzation of catagory

Maybe one would like to look at fluorescent lighting
Or other want look at european fixtures
Or like veiw carbon filament bulbs

It just seems like all lamps of all members photo just seems get thrown into 4 catgory .  But having a sub catagory to make things neater on the gallery?

Yes, soon hopefully we can implement this. An app is not needed for something that works well. Developing an app takes time, when in reality all it really would be is this site in a seperate web browser. You want an app? You can make a shortcut on your home screen that goes straight to the website.
