ANSI ballast codes are different from NEMA tags, however.

I'm aware, I was just looking through old posts to find any useful/interesting tid bits of info and had found that and figured I'd add it here since some people might ask about ballast codes again sometime in the near future (i recall a recent post about it)...

Is an "X2" tag 2000 watts? According to wikipedia an "X5" sticker is 1500 watts.

There also was a 15H label indicating a S56, 150 watt HPS with the 100 volt arc tube.

Greetings Ugly1! (don't know your given name).

Re:S56, that much I knew, thanks. The powers above 1000 are the ones I'm looking for. Here's the wiki entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NEMA_wattage_label

Electromark sells them but you have to buy them in quantity.

I usually just print them myself with a laser printer on some adhesive vinyl and then stick some contact paper on top to protect the text.

If you can get access to a craft vinyl cutter like a Silhouette Cameo those are excellent for making NEMA labels. I made labels for all my lights that didn't have them with one.

I actually found a website for Nema labels. It’s Electromark.com they have all of the labels except for 250 W hps for some reason. But I did print out my own last night. I want to get a sticker machine.

Gahh, unfortunately nothing for MV or MH. Unless I could do a special order. I wanna get a 175W MV tag eventually!
