To those living in Scotland, please stay safe as Storm Caroline is going to get extremely strong and I saw that Aberdeen is in the Amber Zone

We saw, and we will stay safe. We both have an appointment to get our nails done tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully it will have died down by the time we need to go out. The wind was actually picking up a bit tonight when we came home from the supermarket. 

OK then 

I don't know how much will this storm will batter Reading and London but I am already hearing some strong winds

Indeed, we can see three birds nests in a tree from our living room window, I hope they don't get airsick (the birds, that is, not the nests)

Well the wind has died down considerably, so we thought that we would make the best of the rest of the day and go out to the shops. It was however bitterly cold (for us) and it was trying to rain. So we felt that discretion was the better part of valour and turned for home.

We're off to the pub this evening for our weekly folk music session, Ria plays the Bodhran, an Irish frame drum and I strum away on a guitar. It's a brilliant evening, and us musicians get free beer.

In the end, we didn't go out, the forcast was showing well below freezing at the time we would have been coming home, and as we're both suffering from colds at the moment (seems like it's been forever..!) we decided to stay in. A pity really, it's always a good evening, you never know who's going to be there, and we love Scottish traditional music 

We've got snow at the moment, not a great deal, only about an inch or so, my mother rang earlier today, she's got quite a bit where she is, but she's well inland, as we're on the coast we don't get a lot, fortunately
